Artist’s Interpretation:

Read as a dirge after the King Josiah, the Book of Lamentations is traditionally read on the 9th day of Ab. The painting portrays the Twin Towers in mourning and remorse but with the third hand of God surrounding them. Even through the toughest times, God is with us. Compassion rose out of the ashes of September 11.
