“And also concerning Jezebel the LORD says: ‘Dogs will devour Jezebel by the walls of Jezreel.’”
Artist’s Interpretation:
“These dogs symbolize demise for evil King Ahab and his Queen Jezebel. The top dog is taking down their crowns as Elijah had prophesized. The central dog sits blind to the evil around him, in apostasy, doing nothing as evil surrounds. The panting dog looks out of the painting to the viewer, ready to claim his own evil prey from among us.”
